FAQs
-
Yes, every camper will have a daily full length riding lesson in groups with similarly experienced students. We find that this consistency helps kids grow as riders in an exponential way that regular riding lessons can’t simulate.
-
Our lesson programs and camps are based on a holistic perspective of horsemanship that focuses on horse care, behavior, and safety in addition to mounted lessons. This helps kids learn about caring for others, developing strong boundaries, nurturing skills, and more valuable life lessons that horses have to offer.

All levels of student are welcome, from brand new first timers to advanced equestrians.
-
We ask that kids wear at a minimum long pants, boots, and sun protective shirts. Hats are encouraged. We also ask all kids to bring their own snacks, lunch, and water. We have helmets to loan, but if kids have their own they are encouraged to bring this as well.

Ojai summers get very hot. We keep campers cool by wrapping up by 1:30 every day to get them home before the heat of the day. We also plan all high energy activities like riding lessons first thing in the morning. We have spray bottles, cooling towels, and misters available for kids to cool off with.
